Questions & Answers
How much does a clinic cost?
The cost of a clinic is dependent on the number of patients that will be treated at the clinic on a long term basis. For example, an average village size of ~1000 people would cost approximately £300 per calendar month.
Can I set up a clinic in my own village?
Yes you can. A BRPHI clinic can be set up anywhere, not just villages, given that you are able to fund the clinic; as the charity we will organise and run the clinic using our expertise.
Can I name a clinic after my parents?
Yes your clinic can be set up in honour of your parents or any loved one as a legacy/ a form of Sadaqah Jariyah
What level of commitment is required?
Given that our clinics are being set up for long term health care, we would require a long term level of commitment. Therefore, we would recommend that you consider whether you will be able to financially support the clinic on a long term basis.
Who sets up and runs the clinic?
The BRPHI admin team will be responsible for setting up and running the clinic on your behalf using a standard operating manual providing primary care. In order to provide this service we require a point of contact within your village to liaise with.
Is there good governance?
Our clinics are being modelled on the British NHS system from both a clinical and operational point of view. We therefore pride ourselves on maintaining an organisation that focuses on anti-corruption, preventing bribery, safeguarding, confidentiality, whistle blowing, transparency, accountability and safety.
How is the work monitored?
Our team will gather updates following clinic days, financial updates and will be monitoring progress via electronic means such as patient medical records backed up to an electronic system.
Are the doctors trained?
All of our doctors are qualified with the basic medical training from Bangladesh. Each doctor will have access to our clinical training lead who will train them according to the British standard and provide regular monitoring and training.
Can I provide specific clinical services in my clinic?
Yes, it can be added as an additional service to the basic primary case service which BRPHI provides.
